Nebo School District celebrated a momentous occasion on May 16, as Oakridge School held its graduation ceremony for two remarkable students. This special program caters to students with severe disabilities, and graduation signifies the completion of their educational journey at the school.

The ceremony was filled with an abundance of warmth and pride as the graduating class of two was honored for their achievements. Principal Shaun Blakey delivered an inspiring speech, highlighting these students' profound impact on everyone they encounter.

"There's a unique power that students with disabilities possess," Principal Blakey remarked. "They teach us patience, empathy, and the true meaning of resilience. Their journeys are a constant reminder to celebrate the little victories and find joy in the simplest things."

Following Principal Blakey's address, several dedicated teachers took the stage to share personal anecdotes and heartfelt stories about the graduating students. Their words painted a picture of two individuals who have left an indelible mark on the school community.

"Working with these students has been a privilege," shared Jason Shelly, a Speech Pathologist at Oakridge School. "their perseverance and determination in the face of challenges is a constant source of inspiration for me."

The ceremony culminated in the much-anticipated moment – the presentation of certificates. 

This graduation ceremony was a celebration of the transformative power of education and the unwavering dedication of the Oakridge School faculty.
